Hi, welcome to Mobius Encyclopaedia! Thanks for your edit to the The Void page.

Please leave a message on my talk page if I can help with anything! Please make sure to make yourself familiar with how our wikia works and check out our Manual of Style! Wiriamu (talk) 05:17, July 3, 2015 (UTC)

While I appreciate your help, please simply add the icons to articles rather than merely adding the categorizations. Adding the icons themselves automatically categorize the article, and I don't think others would want to have to go back and re-add the icons when adding them in the first place completes the task and categorizes the article in a more succinct method. 2 more things: This and also this, and I think you should be in good shape :) WindStar7125 20:33, May 14, 2016 (UTC)
Please also double-check when categorizing pages with the icons. You are adding the Post-SGW categorizations to a lot of Pre-SGW articles, which is incorrect. Sonic the Hedgehog issues #1-251 and Sonic Universe issues #1-#54 are Pre-SGW, not Post-SGW. Please check that in articles before adding icons (I've also made that same mistake too...). Don't add tabbers to articles either. We no longer want to use those to split information. WindStar7125 21:56, May 14, 2016 (UTC)

Splitting Articles

You're doing a great job splitting up the articles that need to be split. However, just remember to put the parent tab template syntax on both the original and current continuity articles rather than just on one of them. Also, be sure to put the 'Icons' template on top of the page. Icon|Pre-SGW for the original continuity and Icon|Post-SGW for the current. Keep up the good work.

Edit: If you haven't figured out how to use the parent tab template, just copy and paste this under the Icons template if the article doesn't have an infobox:

{{Parent Tab Template
|tab1=Current Continuity
|title2=Original Continuity

About Certain Articles

I've noticed you've recently been going and splitting certain articles, as well as completing new ones that, unfortunately don't fit with the rules.

Yes, it's true that many Sonic video games have taken place in the Post-SGW timeline, apparently exactly as they occurred in the games themselves. HOWEVER, to avoid making more articles than necessary, we should only include certain elements from the games as long as they meet either of the following conditions:

  • It's been mentioned or physically seen (flashback or otherwise) in an issue of the comics.
  • It's already appeared in the Pre-SGW timeline at some point (an article of its old timeline version already exists, so a new timeline article can compliment it).

There have also been edits that stem too much from speculation. One article split that occurred recently was the article for Flicky Island: a new timeline counterpart was created and filled with information about the game Sonic 3D Blast. This is a problem because the game has not been confirmed to have taken place in the new timeline in any issue or any official source. Yes, it has been said a sizeable bulk of the Sonic video games have occurred, but not necessarily all of them.

Please keep this in mind when editing/splitting. Thank you. TheFatPanda (talk) 01:08, October 23, 2016 (UTC)

New Timeline

Had to created this thread to not interrupting other users' conversation.

So, yes, it's Archie Comic's version since it seemed to have their own details, separated it from SEGA's "Another Time, Another Place" timeline. Beside "Sonic Spinball", how can we tell that Sally and her Freedom Fighter team show up in "Sonic Adventure"? Beside the cameo in "Sonic Adventure 2: Battle" and little difference of the characters' appearance, how can we be sure that Chris showed up and helped Shadow to think about Maria's wish in place of Amy Rose? Beside Cream's cameo in Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut, she was not playable until Sonic Advance 2 as well as made her appearance in Sonic Heroes and in each sport games afterward. There are, indeed, many difference between SEGA's timeline and Archie Comic's timeline.

Well, that's my two cents of thought. FredCat 21:05, October 23, 2016 (UTC)

Regarding Video Game Material

I see you have been adding content to the wiki that has been exclusive to the video games so far. While I encourage and appreciate the enthusiasm to keep things updated on the site, a lot of the stuff you have updated has not been confirmed as having happened or existed. While we can assume certain things do exist, and in the end you may be right, the fact is that as of now we should only be adding confirmed video game content. The reason for this is that Ian has been retelling the video games not exactly how they were. For example, we see the end of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 8-bit leads directly into Tails' Adventure, with both Sonic and Eggman being kidnapped by Walter and Wendy Naugus. Ian has been using the games as a base and building off of them. In fact, I admit that I may have jumped the gun when I included all of the zones from Sonic 1, 2, 3, and Knuckles, but my reasoning for those was that they were islands where most of the zones have been already confirmed as existing. When we break things down by story, things can get a bit messy as we don't know exactly what happened. Even I winded up having my heavy story modifications to Sonic's article reverted because of this, although I spent a lot of time on them, the fact remains that it was going too much in detail with stuff that was never confirmed. You need to go back and remove/edit the articles you created that have not yet been confirmed as existing or having happened. If there are any issues, please do not hesitate to reach out. I do not want to give a warning or any bans if I don't have to. I truly appreciate the enthusiasm. Thanks! Diamonddeath (talk) 21:47, October 24, 2016 (UTC)
