Metal: Sonic vs. Captain

Isn't Captain Metal and Metal Sonic the same robot? MerlinTheFairyFox

Technically yes, but Captain Metal is one of the variations of Metal Sonic, of which there have been several. Furthermore, he has served in one of the most prominent roles of any Metal Sonic, and his recreation in the Sol Zone has practically made him a brand new character. As such, it makes sense for him to have his own article-rather like each of the Roboticized Masters had an article separate from the characters who were turned into them. --Spectre the Hechidnat (talk) 03:52, August 15, 2013 (UTC)

How on, um, whatever planet you happen to be on right now, did Captain Metal manage to upgrade himself into a more crab-like humanoid (i.e. take off his legs and screw on new ones, replace his arm) in the span of only a few minutes? If he upgraded himself, then it would have taken a lot longer, considering he probably did upgrade himself. And while we're at it, how did he get out the submarine hatch with all those legs? It's all very confusing. But please, by all means, stick to comic physics Endervirus363 (talk) 06:04, October 18, 2013 (UTC)

Well this is long overdue, but I'd imagine that Metal had a few sets of interchangeable limbs for various purposes that he could swap out fairly readily. As for how he got out of the hatch with all those legs...I'm thinking he either used them like a spider would or has an elevator platform for his personal use of something. --Spectre the Hechidnat (talk) 21:00, March 5, 2015 (UTC)

Timeline Confusion

I've been wondering how we should handle the oddity in Captain Metal's history, namely that his existence seems to span both the pre and post Super Genesis Wave timelines. TheFatPanda (talk) 22:29, December 29, 2014 (UTC)

You and me both-I've tried contacting Tracy Yardley! for an explanation but can't get ahold of him.--Spectre the Hechidnat (talk) 21:00, March 5, 2015 (UTC)
