The Summoning Spire is a device built by A.D.A.M. with the purpose of collecting the universe's Chaos Emeralds. In order to attract the Emeralds, Miles "Tails" Prower and Shadow the Hedgehog were forced into their Super Forms, as both had unique ties to the Emeralds. The spire attempted to attract the Master Emerald but it was retained on Angel Island. After the Emeralds had been collected, both Sonic the Hedgehog and A.D.A.M. used the spire to attain Super Forms themselves. However, A.D.A.M. did not get to use the Emeralds further, as Turbo Tails and Super Shadow sent them all to the Zone of Silence. (StH: #168, #169)
