Queen Sally Acorn (Light Mobius) was the Light Mobius counterpart to Sally Acorn, the queen of her zone's Mobius and the wife of King Sonic. She is a kind and caring queen, willing to do anything for her people. The greatest example of this is when she married the tyrannical King Shadow to try and tame him and to protect her people from his wrath. Fortunately, Shadow's defeat allowed her to marry Sonic, and the two ruled over Mobius benevolently.

History

Prior Events

Before the crisis that resulted in the alteration of the timeline, Sally participated in the final battle against Dr. Eggman, and was witness as Knuckles went mad and attempted to reshape Mobius in his own image. She also watched as Sonic attempted to stop him with the Nullifier device, halting his reign of terror but simultaneously costing him his right eye. Later, she and Sonic were married and had their children, Manik Acorn and Sonia Acorn. (StH: #140)

Mobius: 25 Years Later (Unaltered)

Unlike her husband, who drifted apart from his childhood friends-ceasing to speak to Tails and becoming openly hostile with Knuckles-Sally remained in close contact with the two other heroes, even taking her children to bid Tails, his wife Mina Prower, his daughter Melody Prower, and his son Skye Prower farewell as they departed for Downunda. She also maintained contact with Julie-Su and even became friendly with Lien-Da, discussing the difficulties of their lives over video phone shortly before Sally and her family came to visit Julie-Su and hers on Angel Island. At the same time, Sally worried over her husband Sonic, who was going through something of a midlife crisis due to his not having been raised to be a king as he now was of the Kingdom of Acorn. Despite this, she did her best to go on with life, bonding with her daughter Sonia, Knuckles' daughter Lara-Su, and several other girls at a sleepover. When informed of the crisis facing Mobius, she encouraged Sonic to take the reigns, and backed him fully in his decision to do something about it, not realizing how their lives would be changed... Mobius: 25 Years Later (Altered)

In the Altered timeline, Sally married King Shadow, though she did this solely to protect her people in the hopes that she could tame him, and still had some memories of the previous timeline where she was married to Sonic. She was the sole relief to the people under Shadow's brutal rule, providing charity to all those in need. After Shadow was defeated, Sally and Sonic reunite, their love rekindled. At this time, Sonic brings up the idea of children to Sally... (StH: #166, #167, SU: #5)

Five Years Later...

Queen Sally is seen watching a documentary on the Five Years of Peace with the rest of the royal family, having married Sonic and given birth to alternate versions of Sonia and Manik. She notices that Sonic is tense, and gives him a shoulder rub. Sonic explains that he is nervous about public speaking, to which she states that it's good that they're going out tonight. When the children object, she reveals that Lara-Su is the one babysitting, to which the children quickly change their minds. When she notices Sonic is upset, she says that the children don't mean it. The next day, Sally, along with the rest of the royal family, attend the celebration of the Five Years of Peace, when she, along with numerous others, notice a missile flying at the royal family. However, they are saved by the timely arrival of Silver the Hedgehog. Afterwards, the time traveler would reveal to them that he had determined that the Freedom Fighters would be betrayed in this time, setting off a chain of events that would lead to the ruin of his own future. Their discussion of how to identify and respond to this threat to both their timelines was cut short by a Dark Presence infiltration that left Silver unconscious. While Sonic left in hopes of finding help, Sally took their children and Silver into a secret tunnel leading to a hidden safe room, doing her best to handle her children while also carrying the unconscious time traveler. Within the Panic room, she watched as her husband with the new Freedom Fighters retake Castle Mobius. When Sonic contacted her, she praised him for his efforts and told Sonic about the catacombs. Meanwhile, Shadow the Hedgehog powered up the water monster Tikhaos in the catacombs, causing it to grow to colossal proportions and badly damage the castle. Sally was safe in the panic room however, and was rescued by her husband and later rejoiced with the others at Tikhaos' defeat by Lara-Su. (SU: #5, #6, #7, #8)

Personality

As in her younger days, Queen Sally remains a responsible individual who cares greatly for her kingdom and family. So great was her love for the people of Mobius that she married King Shadow, whom she had no romantic feelings for, in order to blunt his tyrannical rule. A loving mother and wife, she now finds herself in the position of dealing with the efforts of her children to emulate their father and sneak away on missions with the Future Freedom Fighters despite their youth.

Romance

In the unaltered timeline, Sally at long last married Sonic, the love of her life. While they were deeply devoted to each other, Sally was often concerned for her husband's attitudes, particularly as he dealt with the frustrations of being king. His worsening relationships with their shared friends likewise proved a source of worry for her, though she did her best to support him.

Due to the altered timeline, Sally and Sonic had been apart for years, but Sally remembered the romance of their early days. Upon meeting again, their feelings were quickly rekindled, and Sally voiced no objections to Sonic becoming her king once again. She continues to stand by his side, and he is even more grateful for the support.

Background Information

• Queen Sally is not the first future version of Sally, but she is far more elaborately redesigned. While an earlier version featured her in Sally's traditional attire with an added crown, Queen Sally wears dresses and has the long hair that her present day self favored from StH #130-176.
