The Reduce/Enlarge Component is a noticeable component in Dr. Ivo Robotnik's infamous Roboticizer. It is used to manipulate the size of subjects that have been roboticized.
History[]
Dr. Ivo Robotnik's Tyranny[]
After salvaging a Port-O-Bot, along with its Reduce/Enlarge Component, the Knothole Freedom Fighters would keep it in Freedom HQ. When the villainous Universalamander later appeared, Super Sonic used the Reduce/Enlarge Component from the Port-O-Bot to shrink the massive robot down to the size of an insect. (StH: #4)
The team's Reduce/Enlarge Component was later used by Sonic for a plan to fight the French Frirus infecting his team. Pugging it into Rotor's amplifier, Sonic used the empowered device to shrink down to microscopic size so he could enter Rotor and combat the virus from within. Once the crisis was averted, Sonic used a jet-propelled Sonic Spin to vibrate the molecules on the Reduce/Enlarge Component's enlargement switch efficiently enough to activate the device and enlarge him again. Design[]
The Reduce/Enlarge Component is a hand-sized, box-shaped device with a turning knob on top of it and a projector lens for emitting its size-manipulating rays.
Abilities[]
Although designed primarily to affect the size of robots, the Reduce/Enlarge Component is able to shrink or enlarge any form of entity. While it is implied that the device has limit to how small or big it can make something, those limits can be exceeded if enough power is provided to it. (StH: #4, #33)
