Pravda

Pravda was the High Councilor of the High Council of Echidnaopolis. He was once a victim of a political ruse staged by the Dark Legion to elect they’re cyborg-politician, Benedict. He is now brain dead.

History

The ill fates of High Councilor Pravda began when grunts of the Dark Legion, commanded by Lien-Da started to break into his house. When Pravda went to inspect what was going on, believing it was Dingoes, he was surprised to be ripped out of his home by the Dark Legion and brutally clubbed. Lien-Da would have the Dark Legion enter his home and destroy his belongings as his wife hid and watched. Lien-Da would take the time to banter him on his hypocrisy, since he was an open critic of technology but had a home sprawling of electronic belongings. (KtE: #22)

The High Councilor would be brought into the Dark Legion’s base where he would encounter Dimitri who would also expand on Lien-Da’s words and explain that it was “pay back time,” remembering how Pravada's ancestor was the very reason that Dimitri's original plan was rejected. He would then be taken into surgery where his brain was operated on. A special mind-control chip would be placed into his skull forcing him to submit to Dimitri’s will. He would emerge from the surgery with undying loyalty to Dimitri and the Dark Legion. (KtE: #22)

As Pravda faced re-election, the Dark Legion used this to have Pravda appoint the legion’s candidate, the robot Benedict to the job. During a rally for the election, Pravda brought in Benedict and announced his status as the new High Councilor. Benedict would go on a tangent rant about the wrong doings the ban on technology to Echidnaopolis has brought. When Remington would confront Benedict about his speech, Pravda would use his authority against him. (KtE: #23)

Benedict would bring Remington in to discuss his plan and try to blackmail Remington into joining him using secrets from his past. He would also reveal that Pravda has lost free will and unable to control his actions. When Remington would refuse to assist in the Dark Legion’s plots, Benedict tossed Pravda in the Constable's path, remarking that he “outlived his usefulness anyway” before running off. Remington would give chase after him, telling Pravda’s secretary that the High Councilor was in great need of medical attention. Unfortunately, at that time, Dimitri tried to analyze the Guardian Knuckles's powers, and inadvertantly unleashed a massive energy surge. The surge took out Pravada's mind control chip, leaving the now ex-councilor as a vegetable. Dimitri still wished this had happened to Pravada's ancestor. (KtE: #24)
