Onyx Island is the future version of Angel Island in Silver the Hedgehog's native time. At some point, the island fell from the sky and into the ocean.
History[]
Dr. Nega brought the island back in time with him during an attempt to conquer Mobius, but was defeated, resulting in the island being restored to its proper time period. (VG: SRiv)
Some 200 years after the time of Sonic the Hedgehog, the island was inhabited by Knuckles the Echidna's descendant Edmund, who described himself as a "failed Guardian." The island stands in the sea at a slanted angle with part of its surface submerged as a result. The island is home to the ruins of a city, including a library that Silver the Hedgehog used in his research to identify a suspected past traitor among the Knothole Freedom Fighters. After identifying Rotor Walrus as a possible traitor based on records he found in the library, Silver departed Onyx Island for the past using one of his Time Stones. The island is home to interesting artwork, including a painting of the Future Freedom Fighters and a massive statue resembling Lara-Su, one of that group's members. From Onyx Island, it is possible to see the burning remains of the Space Colony ARK in the distance. While Silver does not live on the island, it seems he is a frequent visitor. Silver and Edmund (P.X.E.) later discovered a secret room in the library. It contained books about the Freedom Fighters, including Antoine D'Coolette's Journal. (StH: #235)Locations[]
