Ballhog and Newtron with an explosive
Newtron and Ballhog had the task of dynamiting a random place in an attempt to flush out a spy. Sonic the Hedgehog, who knew what was happening, set off the explosives before the bomb could reach its intended target. Newtron was later present during an attack on what Robotnik thought was a wedding between Sonic and Princess Sally, but was actually a play. (StH: #16, #18)
Appearing During Genesis[]

A Newtron later appeared in Green Hill Zone during the events of Genesis, but was given a different design thanks to Dr. Eggman. After Sonic destroyed a group of Motobugs and the animals were let free, Newtron appeared behind him on a tree. Before it could attack, Sonic jumped onto the badnik, telling it to take him to its leader. It then took off like a missile with Sonic on top of it, and it crashed into a capsule full of animals that Snively collected. (StH: #226)
Abilities[]
Dr. Robotnik's version of Newtron showed its only known abilities at a play starring Sonic and Sally where it could jump. Later on, during Genesis, Dr. Eggman's version of Newtron showed that it was able to switch between being invisible and visible as well as fly like a missile.
Background Information[]
- In Newtron's first appearance, it is colored purple, but in its second appearance, it is lime with yellow scales.
