Maxx Acorn is the Moebius version of Maximillian Acorn.
History[]
Maxx once ruled Anti Mobius, until he was dethroned and exiled to Moebius' version of the Zone of Silence by his daughter, Anti Sally, and her then boyfriend, Anti Sonic. Unlike his Mobius counterpart though, who became a servant in order to survive, King Maxx not only endured, but became the ruler of the Zone of Silence. Eventually however, his rule became a threat to other Zones when he tried to invade the multiverse with his Nightmare Army, so the Zone Cops arrested him and threw him into Zone Jail. But once again, King Maxx thrived by forcing the Moebians in the jail to serve him. (SSS: #10, SU: #29)
Some time later when Scourge was put in Zone Jail, Maxx made a deal with him: if Scourge did not challenge Maxx's rule, he (Scourge) would live. However, Maxx believed Scourge to have violated this deal when the Destructix came to assist Scourge, and had his cronies bring the green hedgehog to Maxx's furnished cell. While at first Maxx spoke kindly to the hedgehog, even complimenting his style of renaming Moebians so that they would not be in Mobius' shadow, the former king's attitude soon became threatening as he ordered his subordinates to kill Scourge, though he wanted them to "leave enough for him to be identified". However, the Destructix came to Scourge's rescue and dealt with Maxx's minions. When Fiona told Maxx that Scourge "belonged to them" and wasn't to be touched, he retorted by telling her they had just signed their death warrants, which the fox scoffed at. (SU: #29)
When Fiona, Scourge and the Destructix finally made their move days later, causing a massive prison riot, King Maxx met up with Jeffrey St. Croix, who took the initiative and stole the Destructix and Scourge's belongings from the Prisoner Processing area before Fiona could recover them. Having overheard Fiona, Jeffrey realized that the riot was part of their "plan", and they had to have some means of escape. As King Maxx planned future conquests, Jeffrey dug through the Destructix's things while making his own plans, though not without catching some of Maxx's attention somewhat. As Jeffrey tossed aside the Warp Ring, it expanded into a portal, much to their surprise. However, before they could use it, the Destructix burst in, beating the two to a pulp and taking back their possessions. Maxx was presumably recaptured when the Zone Cops regained control of the prison. (SU: #32)
Personality[]
Like his counterpart on Mobius, Max can at times be cordial and welcoming, though usually with ulterior motives in mind. In truth he is scheming, manipulative, and sadistic, and has no qualms about having the lives of others taken. He seems to have an aristocratic attitude, as he prefers to let his minions handle the dirty work associated with seeing his will carried out. Moreover, he greatly relishes conquest, as he enjoyed taking over the Zone of Silence and prepared to conquer the entire multiverse until he was stopped and arrested. He even enjoyed "carving out" his own territory in Zone Jail, and was excited to once again conquer Moebius.
