Knecapeon "Kneecaps" Mace (Light Mobius) is the son of Lara-Le and Wynmacher, and the half-brother of Knuckles the Echidna from the Light Mobius universe.

History[]

Mobius: 25 Years Later (Unaltered)[]

Unveiling

Mace arriving at Lara-Su's Unveiling

In the unaltered timeline, Mace attended Lara-Su's Unveiling and was surprised to see Knuckles out on the dance floor with her. He also became somewhat embarrased when Julie-Su asked if he was with Demi-Na, who he considered nothing more than a friend. (StH: #132)

Mobius: 25 Years Later (Altered)[]

Mace was one of those who were not erased due to King Sonic's use of the Tachyon Displacement Chamber. (StH: #144, #166, #167)

Five Years Later...[]

Five Years after Shadow's defeat, Mace worked with members of the Chaotix. He was sent on a mission to Mazuri with Vector by his brother, and as such, did not know of the events that had unfolded at the celebration of the Five Years of Peace. (SU: #5)

Romance[]

Although this isn't confirmed, it was believed by Julie-Su that Mace had something going on with Demi-Na, but denied it, possibly to hide the truth. It was also implied by their conversation that Mace was something of a romantic, as Julie-Su felt the need to stress that the guests at the party were close friends and married. (StH: #132)

It is unknown if Demi-Na exists in the alternate timeline or was one of the many erased from it.

Background Information[]

  • According to Ken Penders, Knecapeon was meant to be gay. Fan reaction to this was mostly negative, if only for the fact that Penders handling of the character in the Mobius 25 Years Later stories was seen as incredibly misleading, in which Mace was seemingly portrayed as a ladies man, to which Julie-Su had to warn him not to flirt with married woman at Lara-Su's unveiling. However, Ken has gone on to point out that Julie-Su never referred to the gender of those Mace would be likely to flirt with, only mentioning individuals who are married, and that she could easily have been referring to any male guests who are married.
