Jaker was an Echidna from the Light Mobius universe. While in one of Mr. Perriwinkle's classes, Jaker answered Riki-Le's question about why the echidnas had a republic, stating they didn't believe in monarchies like other "backwards cultures on Mobius". (StH: #131)
