The Great Forest Monitor is a video surveillance machine used by the Knothole Freedom Fighters to monitor the Great Forest and the surrounding Zones.

Dr. Ivo Robotnik's Tyranny[]
One day, the Great Forest Monitor would catch Sonic the Hedgehog approaching the Freedom HQ for Rotor and Sally to see. However, it failed to transmit its pictures of Sonic entering the Freedom HQ before the hedgehog arrived there. Later, the Knothole Freedom Fighters used the Great Forest Monitor to observe the confrontation between Sonic and Universalamander in the Great Forest. (StH: #3, #4)
Background Information[]
- When first introduced, the Great Forest Monitor would show a listing of the first eight Zones that appeared in the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 video game for the Sega Genesis.
