The Final Zone was an area near the Scrap Brain Zone and was very similar in appearance. Instead of the traps and obstacles seen in the Scrap Brain Zone, there were pipe elevators that Dr. Eggman used for crushing victims.

Sonic defeats Eggman and Snively in Final Zone.
Sonic the Hedgehog visited this area after passing through Scrap Brain Zone on his very first adventure to stop Dr. Eggman and his assistant, Dr. Julian Snively, when the two mad doctors came to South Island to strip-mine and process the island as part of their plan for world domination. After defeating them here, the two doctors fled to Westside Island where Sonic quickly gave chase. (VG: StH1, SSD: #12)
Background Information[]
- The Final Zone was originally in the first Sonic the Hedgehog game. While unnamed in the comic, the zone's design is based on that of Final Zone from the game and is considered the official name of this zone until further notice.
