Emerson

Emerson Acorn was the son of Theodore Acorn and prince of the Kingdom of Acorn. On the last day of his life, he met a young Overlander named Paladin at Roundabout Creek. He proved uncomfortable with the gun that Paladin let him try out, and was mortally wounded and killed when he prevented Paladin from shooting a bird. After finding his son's body and watching Paladin run away, King Theodore imposed an anti-gun law that remained enforced in the Kingdom of Acorn even during the midst of the Great War and the war with Dr. Ivo Robotnik, though the ban was lifted during the Second Robotnik War after Sonic the Hedgehog was believed to have died in the fight with the Xorda. Emerson's younger brother, Raphael Acorn, was born late in their father's life, and the brothers never knew each other. (StH: #72, #125, #132)

Background Information[]

  • For unknown reasons, Emerson was identified by the name Edward in The Complete Sonic Comic Encyclopedia.
  • He has a few similarities with Aaron; They both were never married, and both of their deaths lead to changes in laws and traditions.
