Genesis[]

After Sonic boarded the Death Egg Mark 2, Dr. Eggman enter the machine as Sonic ran to confront him about what was happening to reality. Acting faster, Robotnik boarded his Mech, while Sonic could only bounce off it.
With this machine, Dr. Eggman almost killed his nemesis, overwhelming the hedgehog with its weapons and overall strength. While the mad doctor bicker about losing all the time, Sonic, replicating the events on the first Death Egg, used the open power cables to his advantage.
He transformed into Super Sonic, using the energy of the Chaos Emeralds flowing through a power cord through. Dr. Eggman found his mech to be completely outmatched and unable to harm the invulnerable Hedgehog. Super Sonic permanently put the mech out of commission, choosing to focus on rewriting reality back the way it was and save the precious one Dr. Eggman almost took away from him. (StH: #229)
Background Information[]
- The name of this robotic battle suit went unnamed until Sonic Super Special Magazine Issue 3 where it was called the Egg Destroyer Battlesuit. Until then, people called it the Death Egg Robot because it was based on the similar looking boss of the same name from the Sega Genesis game, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 game, Sonic Generations.
- The Egg Destroyer Battlesuit makes a cameo appearance on the variant cover of Archie Sonic Universe #53 alongside the Egg Emperor.
