Dark Guardian

The Dark Guardian

The Dark Guardian is one of Dark Gaia's Minions and served as the commander of the forces invading the undersea city of Meropis. In the course of it's rampage, it engaged Sonic the Hedgehog and Rotor Walrus in battle shortly before their Air Charms ran out of energy. The Dark Guardian nearly proved the end of the two Freedom Fighters, but help arrived in the form of Chaos. With the ocean under its command, Chaos saved the pair of heroes and repelled the Dark Guardian, and the trio of defenders soon defeated their adversary. (StH: #262, #263)

Background Information

• As with Dark Gaia's other minions, the Dark Guardian appeared in Sonic Unleashed, though it was notably one minion to serve as a boss, similar to the Dark Gaia Titan. The Dark Guardian appeared in one of the Gaia Temples, specifically the one located in Shamar.
