Video Game Characters

This list pertains to characters in the series who originated from the Sonic video games created by SEGA. For simplicities sake, the list shall only cover the Prime Zone versions of the characters, with the exception of those who exist only in a different zone (e.g. Blaze). Characters who debuted in other media who are loosely derived from a video game character or concept do not count (e.g. Sally Acorn, loosely inspired from Ricky the Squirrels design). Sub-categories will also be added for characters who appear in SEGA games not featuring Sonic or who originated in games released by other companies, such as Capcom.
