Budding Circle was a part of Mobotropolis that was destroyed by Dr. Ivo Robotnik's Krudzu machines. A well once existed there.

The Map[]
Two pieces of a mysterious torn map were found by Antoine D'Coolette and Snively Robotnik, respectively. What was even more mysterious was that each half of the torn map had a complete drawing of the "Budding Circle" on one side. (SSS: #1)
Antoine discovered his half of the map in the hilt of General Armand D'Coolette's sword, while Snively found his half of the map in some files in Robotropolis while looking for a weapon to use to bring down his uncle. After a bit of research, each realized the significance of the Budding Circle: it was a section of Mobotropolis that was once attacked by destroyed by Dr. Robotnik's Krudzu. As told by Antoine, "ze ground at Budding Circle could not take the strain and collapsed them down into the earth." (SSS: #1)
Excavation at the Former Location[]
Snively, hoping to find some remaining Krudzu seedlings to send his uncle's way, and Antoine, hoping to find the other half of the map which he believed would lead to treasure once completed, set out on their ways to South side of Robotropolis, where the Budding Circle once was. Snively, with his personal Eggbot army, began excavation there. Antoine spied on him and, upon hearing his plan to recover Krudzu seedlings, tried to return to the Freedom Fighters, but slipped on a pile of metal bars. Noticing the commotion, Snively sent his Eggbots to investigate. (SSS: #1)
Antoine was chased by Eggbots through the Robotropolis sewers, but managed to find the Robotropolis Spy Network and warn Uncle Chuck, who told him that Sonic, Bunnie, and Rotor were already on their way to the Budding Circle after detecting seismic activity there. Antoine returned to the site and helped them fight off the Eggbots, but when a group of Dr. Robotnik’s SWATbots arrived on the scene, Sonic, Bunnie, Rotor, and Antoine took at opportunity to escape back to Knothole. Ultimately, the map was never combined, no Krudzu seedlings were found at the former location of the Budding Circle, and any traces of them were likely destroyed along with the Budding Circle during Station Square’s nuclear assault on Robotropolis.
