Archie Sonic the Hedgehog Issue 7 was the seventh issue of the main Sonic the Hedgehog comic series.

Summary[]

Story One[]

"Uncle Chuck's Treasure" - Part One

Tails builds a seesaw and invites Sonic to play on it, but Rotor suddenly jumps on, launching Tails into the roof of Freedom Fighter HQ. A map falls out of the hole in the ceiling, showing the way to "Uncle Chuck's most important treasure." The Freedom Fighters point out that money is useless since Robotnik took over, but Sonic reasons that, since Chuck was an inventor, it could be something they could use to stop Robotnik.

The group follows the map to Mobius National Park, where they find Robotnik has completely polluted it with waste. Two SWATbots overhear the gang talking about the treasure and report to Robotnik. As the noxious gasses start affecting Sally, Sonic reaches their destination at super speed. Just as they find the treasure's location, Dr. Robotnik appears with a group of Badniks and attacks. The Freedom Fighters split up to try and shake Robotnik off their tail.

"Uncle Chuck's Treasure" - Part Two

Realizing that they won't last long in the polluted wasteland, Sonic saves Tails, Rotor, and Sally from a Burrobot, two Swatbots, and a Buzzbomber. They join up back at the site of the treasure with Robotnik nowhere in sight. After they dig up the chest, Sally tells Sonic that his actions today were "a great feat". Sonic ponders what she just said while Robotnik swoops in and nabs the chest. Sonic leads the gang back to Knothole, saying that he remembers what Uncle Chuck valued most and doesn't want to be around when Dr. Robotnik opens the chest. In Robotropolis, Robotnik is furious. The chest contained Sonic's bronzed baby shoes, which Uncle Chuck kept for sentimental purposes.

Story Two[]

"Sorceress in Distress"

The Freedom Fighters are dressed as "scary" things for an annual Fright Night Party. Sally is a sorceress, but needs a staff-like stick to complete her costume, and she's frustrated with Antoine and Sonic treating her like bodyguards. She goes out to look for suitable stick, but forbids Sonic and Antoine from following her. She finds the perfect stick and jokes that it may have been dropped by a real sorceress. She playfully tries to make a rock rise and is surprised when, due to a coincidental geyser eruption, the rock flies into the sky.

Robotnik, not knowing the sorceress is actually Sally, falls in love with her wicked power and forcefully takes her to Robotropolis to be married. Sonic, who has been secretly watching Sally, follows at a distance and intends to help without being seen. Dr. Robotnik demands Sally demonstrate her power to a crowd of badniks, so Sonic moves so fast he becomes invisible and beats Robotnik up. Humiliated, Robotnik orders his badniks to destroy her. Sonic picks Sally up and carries her to the Great Forest. There, Sally reveals she knew it was him all along. He sets her down and she thanks him with a kiss on the cheek before breaking the stick over his head for disobeying orders.

Bonus Features[]

Short Stories[]

"The Shadow Nose!"

Sonic tries taking up shadow boxing, quite literally beating his own shadow into submission.

"Details are Sketchy!"

Crabmeat describes his attacker while Robotnik attempts to sketch the culprit out. After sketching for a while based on Crabmeat's descriptions, Robotnik ends up with a picture of Sonic.

"Princess Cruises"

Antoine begs Sally to let him dedicate a ship to her, but the princess refuses. He continues to beg and plead until Sally snaps at him and angrily storms away. Antoine supposes she didn't want to be remembered as "the face that launched a ship."
