Archie Sonic the Hedgehog Issue 132 was the one hundred and thirty-second issue of the main Sonic the Hedgehog comic series.
Summary[]
Story One[]
- "Home" - Part 3 of 4: "A.D.A.M. & EVIL"
Dr. Eggman is confounded; his nemesis, Sonic, has arrived with Tails at Old Megaopolis Harbor in the nick of time to stop him from launching nuclear warheads at Knothole and Station Square. While Tails fires at them from above on the Tornado, M offers her analysis of the situation: Sonic most likely used a Power Ring to amplify his speed and reach them in time. Sonic compliments the android's inductive reasoning skills and jumps from the Tornado, tackling Eggman and wrestling him to the ground while a nearby Hover-Cam sends footage of their fight back to Castle Acorn. Sonic prepares to take him prisoner, but Eggman claims that it's too late to stop the missiles. Sonic tells him that Tails and Rotor are already hacking into his systems. Eggman explains that, by doing so, their systems will be compromised by A.D.A.M.: a virus he accidentally created who controls his main computer and all of his robots. Just then, the Tornado starts to fly out of control.
Meanwhile, at Fort Acorn, General D'Coolette's forces prepare to face the SWATbot horde headed for Robotropolis. Julie-Su tries to convince Knuckles to stay out of the fight, worried for his safety now that he no longer possesses the power of the Chaos Emeralds. Knuckles jokes about his time as Chaos Knuckles, but assures her that they have nothing to worry about. They peek in on Amy, who is meditating with her Piko-Piko Hammer, when General D'Coolette enters and reports that the SWATbots are approaching from the Badlands. Vector sets up a turntable and a set of massive speakers. By scratching vinyl discs at high volume, he creates a shock wave that blasts the robots away.
At Castle Acorn, Sally wonders how they can stop A.D.A.M. Sir Charles tries to look on the bright side, suggesting that taking over the Tornado might have split A.D.A.M.'s attention. Meanwhile, A.D.A.M. tells Tails that he sees no reason for his continued existence and sends the Tornado plunging towards the ocean. Sonic demands for Eggman to stop A.D.A.M., but Eggman insists that he has no control over the AI. Just before the plane crashes, Tails asks A.D.A.M. why the chicken crossed the road. A.D.A.M. halts the plane's descent, curious about to know the answer. Tails tells him the rest of the joke, which amuses him. M attacks Sonic, furious that he hurt her "father".
Back at Fort Acorn, a SWATbot vaporizes Vector's speakers. Knuckles consoles Vector, explaining that he bought them enough time. Amy Rose appears, running straight into the horde and knocking them around with her hammer. Tails continues to tell A.D.A.M. jokes when the Freedom Fighter Special arrives, nearly crashing into the Tornado. Bunnie asks Antoine why Tails was flying strangely and gets a passive aggressive response for her trouble. Eggman "introduces" Sonic to Mecha, noting that he prefers to call her "M" and that she's a sort of sister to A.D.A.M. Having beaten Sonic to a pulp, M tosses him into the ocean. Back at Castle Acorn, Sally is horrified by the battle unfolding before her and is determined to head to Old Megaopolis herself. The Royal Guards stop Sally and King Max and Queen Alicia explain that, as a princess, she isn't allowed to simply run into battle.
In the Badlands, Knuckles, Vector, Julie-Su, and Mighty look after an exhausted Amy. Knuckles congratulates her on wiping out half the SWATbots and asks her if she'd like to have another go at them. Suddenly, a G.U.N. transport vehicle arrives. Rouge the Bat explains that the President sent her and the G.U.N. commandos to give them a hand. Back Old Megaopolis Harbor, Eggman orders M to retrieve Sonic's body. While she dives into the ocean to begin her search, Shadow approaches Eggman from behind. Sonic wearily manages to climb up on to a nearby pier when Mecha confronts him. Sonic starts to antagonize her when Mecha takes off her sunglasses, lights gathering in her eyes.
Story Two[]
- Mobius: 25 Years Later - "The Unveiling"
Mace arrives at Lara-Su's Unveiling and laughs that Knuckles is dancing with his daughter. Julie-Su thanks Mace for coming, and she asks where Demi-Na is. Mace awkwardly waves at Demi-Na as she walks past; Julie-Su asks that Mace keeps in mind that most of the people here are "M-A-R-R I-E-D!". Ace promises that he won't do anything to embarrass the family, especially tonight.
Knuckles is dancing with Lara-Su; Knuckles complains about his dancing as Lara-Su complains about her dress. Another Echidna approaches Knuckles and takes over dancing. Mace laughs at Knuckles being "dumped", Julie-Su wanders off to find Knuckles on the balcony. Both hug each other that their daughter is growing up. A storm in the sky is shown in the distance of the party.
At their base, Rotor and Cobar devise a theory that the time/space continuum is on the verge of collapse, because of Dimitri and his followers, and King Sonic's adventures "toppling the dominoes". Rotor takes off and leaves Cobar.
Vector and his son Argyle arrive at the party late with Knuckles greeting them. Knuckles shows Argyle to Lara-Su and they begin to dance. Vector begins to show some nervousness that Argyle is such a "homebody" and may not know what to do. Argyle stuns Vector when he perfectly dances with Lara-Su. Harry enters and gives Knuckles a message from Rotor. Knuckles asks Harry to tell him to meet at Locke's Park in two hours.
