A multi-part story? In MY Sonic Boom comic?? You got that right! It's wacky-racin' adventure in "Everybody’s Super Sonic Racing" Part Two: Dr. Eggman’s fun and “friendly” go-kart challenge has turned deadly! But, really, who didn’t see that “twist” coming? Can Sonic salvage the race and prove to the bad doctor he can win fair and square? More importantly—can Sonic survive long enough to return to the race course?! Discover the fate of life, limb and ego in this super-fast story with cover art from Sonic comic fav Jamal Peppers, and an all-new "insubordination" variant cover from painter Erik Ly! …And BOOM goes the dynamite!

Everybody's Super Sonic Racing: Part 2

Picking up from where the previous issue left off, Sonic and his kart were hurtling into a large chasm, where he briefly tried and failed to grab a hold of his own character name box to stop himself. After remarking how slow he seems to be falling, Tails appeared in the nick of time to lift Sonic and the kart to safety (the sudden stop in motion causing Sonic to ram his face into his own steering wheel-ouch!). With Knuckles and Amy using their Enerbeam's as a bungee, Sonic landed softly and safely. Upon wondering what took them so long, Knuckles reminded Sonic that they had a whole month to get there, much to Amy's annoyance at the boys continued breaking of the fourth wall. Knuckles agreed: less joking and more pounding some sense into Eggman. Sonic, however, shot that notion down, reaffirming that Eggman challenged the heroes to a fair race, and although Eggman isn't playing nice as he predicted, he refused to stoop to his level: he's gonna beat him fair and square to prove a point (and then kick his butt). There was just the problem of how Sonic was gonna get his kart back onto the road, Tails not being strong enough to lift him up. Knuckles immediately saw to the problem however, picking up Sonic and the kart and, with a mighty twirl, hurtled them both up onto the cliff, where Sonic could pick up from where he left off.

A short while up the track, Eggman cruised along, gloating over his supposed victory, only for his bliss to vanish upon noticing Sonic fast approaching! The doctor attempted to knock the hedgehog off his course once more by initiating numerous traps planted along the track: all of which Sonic managed to avoid, allowing him to zoom ahead. At the end of his rope, Eggman activated his final counter-measure: pressing a button, his kart transformed into a ferocious Spider-Kart!

Over in the spectators stand, Sticks the Badger was sitting amongst the cheering crowd, examining Sonic and Eggman's road brawl through a pair of binoculars, before pulling out a checklist of all the predictions she'd made at the beginning of the last issue: she correctly predicted Eggman rigging the race and the karts turning out to be bio-scanner traps, but was a little off on Eggman's kart becoming a mecha-dragon.

Back on the road, Sonic was drifting and swerving violently to avoid the jabs from the Spider-Karts arms in a desperate bid to reach the finish line just a few feet away. It's at this point that his friends decide to intervene: Sticks ran onto the road as Tails, Amy and Knuckles came in from the air. With the heroes giving Eggman a hard time, Sonic finally made it across the finish line!
