Story One[]

The First Date: Part Two of Three - "Who Wrote the Book of Love Anyway?"

Knuckles, teleported by Archimedes into a bistro, sees Julie-Su on a date with an echidna named Raynor. Knuckles is flustered and tries to hide, but ends up knocking over a waiter. The manager appears, shouting angrily, but loudly identifies Knuckles as the Floating Island's Guardian. As Julie-Su walks towards the commotion, Knuckles begs Archimedes to teleport them away. Knuckles ends up on a rooftop and talks to Archimedes about how fearful he is about approaching Julie. Archimedes explains that the Soultouch compensates for echidnas being bad at romance and Knuckles watches as the Chaotix enter an arcade on the street below.

In Haven, Locke asks Sabre if he has seen Knuckles. Semper Fidelis and Deo Volente realize Archimedes must have taken him away and Locke is frustrated, wondering why he decided to meddle in his business. Deo bluntly states that Archimedes might by trying to help Knuckles have a better love life than Locke. Sabre agrees and prepares to observe the situation, but Locke forbids him from invading Knuckles' privacy.

At the arcade, Vector brushes off his failure to get a date by comparing dating to playing a video game. Espio and Mighty tease him for his choice of words and suggest that he try acting more like Knuckles. Vector rambles about how Julie controls Knuckles' life just as Knuckles walks in. Frustrated with his friend's attitude, Knuckles looses his cool and attacks Vector. Espio and Mighty try to calm him down and Vector apologizes, but Knuckles yells at them and storms off. The Chaotix are confused, but Archimedes explains that Knuckles is lovesick.

Raynor escorts Julie-Su back to her apartment and kisses her goodbye. She heads inside and sighs in her dark room, upset that Knuckles doesn't treat her that way. Knuckles considers talking to his mother about the situation with Julie-Su, but decides to head over himself and talk with her. Meanwhile, Lara-Le talks to Wynmacher about how distant Knuckles has been since they told him they were to be married. Wynmacher tells her that they can wait until Knuckles is ready to accept it. Knuckles heads over to Julie-Su's apartment and asks her out on a date, which she accepts. Both of them are overjoyed about their upcoming date, but Knuckles is nervous about messing up.

Story Two[]

"Those Were the Days…"

Mighty is shocked to see Fiona Fox, having thought she died years ago. Fiona confronts him, blaming Mighty and Sonic for leaving her, but Mighty argues that they did their best despite the fact that they didn't save everyone from Robotnik's labor camp. Nic interrupts them, telling them to deal with their problems later. They arrive at the camp's center and Mighty thinks back to when he first arrived there long ago.

Mighty and Ray saw Fiona being taken aside by a Robian guard and Mighty thoughtlessly lunged at him. Ray and Fiona helped him fight off the SWATbot reinforcements, but they were eventually subdued and Fiona was taken away. In the present, Nic grabs Mighty's attention and leads the group through the prison yard. As they continue into the main building, Mighty notices robotic duplicates of Sonic, Tails and Sally standing deactivated nearby. Mighty wonders if the camp was made to create them.

Mighty thinks back to his time imprisoned at the camp, when Sonic arrived with a key to unlock his shackles. Freed from his prison, Mighty suggested that they go free Ray, but Sonic decided that they'd go free more than just a few Mobians. Mighty looks thoughtfully at the robot in front of him, wondering if the Sonic he met back then was even real. Nic manages to open a special vault in the facility and tells Mighty that their target is inside. Mighty asks where Ray is, but Nic reminds him that she won't tell until Mighty fulfills his part of the bargain. They stop at a large safe and she instructs Mighty to tear it open. For Ray's sake, Mighty agrees.
